Thinking it might be a similar issue, I double checked the firmware update available from Seagate and according to them, my hard drive is up to date. After doing this, the hard drive worked great until now. ![]() After a painfully long time with Seagate customer service, it was determined that I needed to update the firmware on the disk. I had an issue last summer with the same hard drive where it was not mounted correctly. I'm also not able to access any of the files on it - when I click to open the hard drive on my desktop, it freezes up in finder until the disk is ejected improperly once more. So, I connect the external hard drive and everything seems okay for a few minutes, but then the hard drive is ejected unexpectedly and the message comes up "Disk Not Ejected Properly" and will do this every time I plug it in now. ![]() I've had the same issue in the past, but I'm now wondering if it's my computer causing the issue. ![]() It is an external hard drive and when I tried to find a place to post this on Seagate, I could not find one. I'm having an issue with my Seagate backup plus for mac.
